Available Position: TYPS Research Associate
The TYPS Research Associate will supervise research activities for the Texas Youth Permanency Study, a longitudinal study of foster youth. Research Associate will manage data collection; ensure human subjects compliance; analyze data; develop reports and presentations; and communicate with external stakeholders.
This position is grant funded and subject to renewal.
Develop and maintain tracking systems and data collection tools for managing participants, recording participant surveys and interviews, and tracking participant incentives. Train and supervise the Research Coordinator and Research Assistants to use these systems.
Provide outreach to courts who will serve as study recruitment sites. Train and communicate regularly with court contacts to schedule participants and ensure data collection protocols are followed.
Supervise all study related staff to increase their professional development and research skills and ensure that the project is implemented according to study protocols.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, publications and other communications in a timely manner.
Actively participate in institute functions such as trainings, staff meetings, events and other activities.
Ph.D. in social work, public health or related social services field with a minimum of four years of research experience. Proficient in excel and at least one statistical software program. Experience supervising staff. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Professional or personal experiences with the foster care system or other vulnerable populations; Experience collecting and analyzing longitudinal data; Bilingual in Spanish.
$60,000 + depending on qualifications
