Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Caregiver Training [Saturday Series]
September 12 – 8:00 am – December 5 – 5:00 pm CDT

The Texas Institute for Child and Family Wellbeing invites foster and adoptive caregivers to attend a virtual workshop on Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®). TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.
TBRI® Caregiver Training will be implemented over four, four-hour sessions. Registrants are encouraged to attend all 4 days to receive full insight. Certificates of completion will be provided for each session attended.
Learning objectives:
- Develop skills to use practical tools to support children by learning the Principles and Strategies of TBRI® and how to apply them in daily interactions
- Learn to use Empowering Principles to address physical needs
- Learn to use Connecting Principles to meet attachment needs
- Learn to use Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors

- Module 1: Impact of Trauma on Development & Module 2: The Attachment Cycle, September 12th, 9:30 am-1:30 pm
- Module 3: Connecting Principle – Mindfulness Awareness & Module 4: Connecting Principle – Engagement Strategies, October 10th, 9:30 am-1:30 pm
- Module 5: Empowering Principle – Physiological Strategies & Module 6: Empowering Principle – Ecological Strategies, November 7th, 9:30 am-1:30 pm
- Module 7: Correcting Principle – Proactive Strategies & Module 8: Correcting Principle – Responsive Strategies, December 5th, 9:30 am-1:30 pm
