Evaluation of Restorative Discipline Readiness Training for Administrators in Texas

Project Overview

The Institute of Restorative Justice and Restorative Dialogue (IRJRD) contracted with theTexas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing to evaluate the Texas implementation of the IRJRD Administrative Readiness Training. This training prepares school administrative and leadership teams for the implementation of the use of restorative discipline.

The project consisted of 20 two-day administrator readiness trainings and 20 five-day coordinator trainings at Regional Education Service Centers at 20 sites throughout the state. The evaluation consisted of a pre- and post-test implementation survey with 6, 12, and 18 month follow-up.
