Let Kids Be Kids: Normalcy to improve child wellbeing

Normal experiences in childhood are critical to the wellbeing and social development of all children. Children in foster care are no different! This workshop provides information of the importance of normalcy and what caregivers can do to ensure their children are living as normal of a life as possible.

Training Objectives

Participants will learn how experiences in foster care affect social development, outcomes, and relationships.

Participants will learn how incorporating normalcy into a child’s life can promote wellbeing.

Participants will learn the rules and best practices to promote normalcy and understand legal protections afforded through the prudent parent standard.
