Erika Settles, LMSW, Permanency Training Coordinator

Erika Settles has 12 years of experience overseeing staff and collaborating with children and families in the child welfare system. She is dedicated to supporting biological, foster, and adoptive families while advocating for youth-driven permanency. She prioritizes self-determination, cultural connections, and trauma-responsive care.

In her role at TXICFW, Erika will be developing and facilitating permanency trainings for caregivers, child welfare professionals, and other professionals working with families in the areas of foster care and adoption.

Erika’s expertise is in leading, training, and supporting diverse teams. Her passion lies in enriching the lives of youth and families while actively engaging in efforts to minimize reentry into foster care.

Erika holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. Erika is Dare to Lead™ trained.
