Shannon Mann-Butler, MSSW, MAC, Director of Programs & Training

Shannon Mann-Butler, LMSW, ACC, serves as Director of Programs at the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing (TXICFW), part of the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a UT Foster Care Liaison and a proud co-founder of the Spark program. Her responsibilities encompass program oversight at the institute, including program development, campus and community outreach, training and facilitating workshops, coordinating and recruiting volunteers, and spearheading fundraising initiatives.

Shannon holds a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW, 2010), a Master of Business Administration (MBA, 2023), and a Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC, 2006). Her career has been marked by a solid commitment to supporting youth and professionals across diverse environments. She is a Credentialed Advanced Family and Divorce Mediator, a certified Dare to Lead™ and Mindfulness Facilitator, and an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), certifications that complement her professional pursuits in strategic planning, community engagement, and human capital development, with a focus on youth services, leadership development, education, and mental health.

Shannon is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS). Outside of work, life is a joyful hustle of parenting, enjoying moments with her husband and puppy, and indulging in a love of movies and live music whenever the opportunity arises.
