Welcome to Kiana Javaheri, our new Senior Research Associate!
We recently caught up with Kiana Javaheri, Ph.D., to learn more about her! Kiana is joining TXICFW as a senior research associate. We are so excited to work with her!
Hi Kiana! Tell us a little bit about your past work.
My previous work included roles as a lead research analyst, doctoral researcher, scientific collaborator, and university lecturer. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to large-scale research initiatives with the Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN) and the Young Canadians Roundtable on Health (YCRH).
What excites you or interests you most about the work you do?
I’m most excited by the opportunity to impact the lives of children and families through rigorous research. Also, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful projects keeps me motivated to push boundaries and find innovative solutions to complex problems.
What is something you hope to achieve in your career?
I hope to contribute to advancing knowledge and building systems that make a tangible difference in the well-being of children and families, especially those from underserved communities. Ultimately, I aspire to lead initiatives that drive meaningful, lasting change in communities.
What are some of your personal hobbies?
I enjoy playing the piano, singing, reading, organizing, watching fantasy shows, and playing board games!
