Welcome to Samantha B. MacCallon, our new Neurosequential Model Community Coordinator!
We recently caught up with Samantha B. MacCallon, LPC-S, one of our newest TXICFW team members, to learn more about her! Samantha is the new Neurosequential Model (NM) Community Coordinator on our Neurosequential Model Community Coordinator Pilot Project. Samantha also helps support the Compassionate Caregivers campaign through our Texas Permanency Outcomes Project. We are so excited to have her on the team!
Hi Samantha! Tell us a little bit about your past work.
I have previously worked as a CPS investigator in Travis County; a statewide intake specialist; a parent coach with Center for Child Protection (CAC); and an individual therapist with Children’s Advocacy of Bastrop, Lee and Fayette counties and school-based mental health services.
What excites you or interests you most about the work you do?
I am excited to take my lived experience and knowledge and apply it on a macro level in an effort to effect change for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
What is something you hope to achieve in your career?
I hope to have a positive impact and build community for diverse and marginalized populations.
What are some of your personal hobbies?
Reading, playing disc golf, traveling, and cooking.
