April 11 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Borderline Personality Disorder and Mentalization: Free Lunch & Learn

Learn how Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is linked to childhood attachment and how it relates to problems with mentalizing. We will also discuss clinical tips for working with BPD, including how to create epistemic trust via mentalizing.

After registering through Eventbrite, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the meeting.

Lunch & Learns are sponsored by the Sue Fairbanks Psychoanalytic Academy. These hour long sessions are meant to introduce psychoanalytic concepts to community practitioners, researchers, social workers and those in all helping professions. “Psychoanalysis” goes far beyond Freud and has been a valuable and important part of social work since the beginning!

Presenter: Dr. Tina Adkins, Ph.D., Research Assistant Professor with the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing, Director of the Sue Fairbanks Psychoanalytic Academy
