Project Overview
The Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing conducted the Retrospective Data Analysis for the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) project of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. This project involved the aggregation, cleaning, analyses, and dissemination of PEI data collected on families receiving services from 2007 to 2015. Through the examination of descriptive and inferential statistics, the project aimed to uncover information on child maltreatment in the state of Texas, characteristics of families in need, the quality of currently used evaluative tools, and PEI program effectiveness.
